About Us:

The joint-stock company, Middle Seas Capital, was founded by Ucha Mamatsashvili in Georgia in 2017. The company focuses on investments in innovative and high-tech projects. By investing in them, Middle Seas Capital supports the development of associated business sectors.

The success of our company is determined by the members of our team, who share the following values in their work: professionalism, responsibility and transparency. The attitude of our company towards the work we do is evident according to our current projects in which we currently invest: Geo Organics, LLC.  Georgian Retail Investments, LLC. G-Agro, LLC and  Melikishvili-Inn, LLC. All these projects are experiencing significant growth and are market leaders.

Although Middle Seas Capital has a focus on Georgia, we are also looking at international projects.

Ucha Mamatsashvili

FOUNDER

Ucha Mamatsashvili has 27 years of experience in the investment business. From 1996 to 2002, he was Deputy CEO of Metalloinvest, and from 2006 to 2012, he was CEO of Stoilenskaya Niva, one of the most influential agricultural holdings. Ucha Mamatsashvili started his career as an investor in 1993 in the bank Rossiysky Kredit and went on to hold leading positions in the investment direction. 

In 2013, he was appointed as Deputy CEO of Partnership Fund, and in 2016, he held the same position at Georgian Co-Investment Fund. In 2017, Ucha Mamatsashvili founded Middle Seas Capital and started investing in and supporting entrepreneurs.

Ucha Mamatsashvili is an economist. He was educated at the Russian University of Transport and Plekhanov’s Russian University of Economics.

David Bolotauri

CEO

David Bolotauri was appointed as CEO of Middle Seas Capital in 2017. He has 36 years of experience in economics and finance. Since 1984, he has held senior roles at financial institutions. From 1996 to 2017, he was the Regional Manager of Bank of Georgia in Kvemo Kartli.

David Bolotauri earned his degree in economics from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

In 2013, he was appointed as Deputy CEO of Partnership Fund, and in 2016, he held the same position at Georgian Co-Investment Fund. In 2017, Ucha Mamatsashvili founded Middle Seas Capital and started investing in and supporting entrepreneurs. 

Ucha Mamatsashvili is an economist. He was educated at the Russian University of Transport and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

Teona Nibladze

Finance Manager

Teona Nibladze joined Middle Seas Capital in 2019. She has ten years of experience working at financial institutions. In 2017, she was appointed as Finance Manager at Geo Organics, LLC., one of the successful projects that Middle Seas Capital has funded. Before joining Middle Seas Capital, Teona held leading roles at different companies. Teona has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Nana Lartsuliani

CLO

Nana Lartsuliani has been the CLO of Middle Seas Capital since 2019. Previously, she held the same position in Geo Organics, LLC., one of the successful projects that Middle Seas Capital has funded. Nana Lartsuliani has many years of experience in working across many business sectors, including investment companies. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ivane JavakhiShvili Tbilisi State University. Additionally, she is a licensed lawyer for Administrative and Public Law.

Nino Tabukashvili

Lawyer

Nino Tabukashvili joined Middle Seas Capital in 2018 as an office manager and in two years, took a position as the company’s lawyer. From 2014 to 2016, she was a member of the conferencing apparatus of ELSA (The European Law Students’ Association). Nino Tabukashvili has a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and a Master’s degree in Law from Ilia State University. Additionally, she is a licensed lawyer for Administrative and Public Law.

Natia Khutsishvili

Administrative Officer

Natia Khutsishvili joined Middle Seas Capital in 2017. She has considerable experience in working with different funds, including Georgian Co-Investment Fund and Partnership Fund. There, she was appointed as an assistant of the CEO and Deputy CEO, accordingly. Natia has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration: Banking and Finance from Ilia State University.

Sopio Tabukashvili

Office Manager

Sopio Tabukashvili is the newest member of the Middle Seas Capital team as she has joined us in 2020. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature. She has earned a Master in Translation and Cultural Relations, as well as traductology, from the school of humanities of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Natia Mchedlishvili

Accountant

Natia Mchedlishvili joined Middle Seas Capital as an accountant in 2019. Previously, she held the same position in Georgian Retail Investments, LLC. Before joining Middle Seas Capital, Natia Mchedlishvili worked in the banking industry and was a Universal Banker at several institutions. Natia has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
